A. Nouns, Pronouns, and Adjectives
In Hebrew, nouns, pronouns, and adjectives agree in gender (masculine or feminine) and number (singular or plural). There are specific patterns for forming the feminine and plural forms of nouns and adjectives, though some exceptions must be memorized.
B. Sentence Structure
The typical sentence structure in Modern Hebrew is Subject-Verb-Object (SVO), similar to English. However, in Biblical and Classical Hebrew, and sometimes in Modern Hebrew, sentences often follow a Verb-Subject-Object (VSO) pattern.
C. Subject-Verb Agreement
In Hebrew, the verb must agree with the subject in both gender and number. This agreement applies to both the past and the future tenses, but not to the present tense, which has a unique form based on the noun’s root.
Remember to continually practice these fundamental concepts to enhance your understanding and proficiency in the Hebrew language.
